Peter Russell, a 20-year-old personal trainer, has been sent to us by the State of Iowa to participate in our Three Days of Pain program. Peter has chosen to be tortured for three days — whipped, punched, clipped, racked, electrocuted, whipped again and finally crucified — in order to reduce a 10-year prison sentence for striking a police office to one year. He seems fit enough to endure the program. We'll soon find out. Next week: Whip.

The muscular young guard assigned to administer Peter's punishment strokes his victim's muscles appreciatively, glad to have such a fine specimen on which to hone his skills. Peter cries out with the first whip stroke, surprised at the power of the blow, but then he grits his teeth and tries to bare the beating silently. His expression alternates from determination to despair as the brutal whipping continues for nearly an hour. Next week: Gut punch.
